Programming -Â People, Policy, Practices, Programming
After training in Restorative Way Communication© practices, clients inevitably ask “how can we embed these communication principles and practices consistently on a day-to-day basis in everyday interaction to address a multitude of conflict contexts?” The answer is programming. Without some type of programming that continuously coordinates and facilitates restorative practices, the practices fade and old dysfunctional patterns of communication that don’t resolve conflict return. A program provides consistent accountability, empathy, repair, and reconciliation.
In this course we’re going to look at how to implement Restorative Way Communication© conversations and practices on a systemic everyday level using the “4 P’s.” People, Policy, Practices, Programming. Whether it is a workplace restorative program, school program, or a restorative justice program within the criminal justice system, these “4 P’s” are the foundation for creating and sustaining any high-functioning program.
